Philanthropy World Magazine celebrates the philanthropic spirit in the United States and around the globe. Six times a year, we recognize extraordinary people who are dedicated to charitable causes. In addition, each issue highlights areas of philanthropic giving – such as corporate giving, foundations, volunteering – as well as key non-profit agencies and contributors. We also publish information that helps our readers keep up-to-date on the latest important philanthropic happenings around the country and the world. |
Philanthropy World Magazine is unique. Our mission is to advance the cause of philanthropy in the United States and abroad by recognizing the people whose contributions are the life source of the nonprofit organizations and foundations. Readers gain insight into the philanthropic spirit from feature articles on extraordinary people and learn from articles on major trends and on fund raising. No other media dedicates its publication or editorial content solely to promoting and encouraging good works, especially by those most able to give. |
Philanthropy World Magazine was started in 1996 by Bob Hopkins, former nonprofit organization director, fund raiser, speaker and columnist. Begun as a free-circulation monthly tabloid, the magazine evolved dramatically under the direction of Publisher/Editor-in-Chief Beth Wilbins, former Editor of D magazine. Today, Philanthropy World Magazine is a premium, four-color publication with a growing subscriber base. The magazine’s hallmark is its cover, which features a prominent philanthropist or philanthropic family. Cover subjects include Sir Roger and Lady Kristina Moore, T. Boone Pickens, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Dr. Phil McGraw, and the Petty Family, among others. |
