Celebrating her ninety-fifth birthday, Ebby Halliday, the founder and chairman of Ebby Halliday, REALTORS, has become a business icon for women throughout the nation. Her company is one of the world’s largest independently owned residential real estate firms, and is the number one locally owned real estate firm in Texas and 20th in the nation.

Growing up in rural Kansas, Ebby traces her business roots back to her childhood. She has come from selling salve farm to farm on her pony and running her own hat company in Dallas to what is now Ebby Halliday, REALTORS. It began as a one-office operation, but has grown into a world-renowned empire that works from 28 locations.

Ebby’s philanthropic contributions are endless and are an expression of her strong commitment to others. “When you give your money, you give from your pocketbook, but when you give your time, you give from your soul.” This past year, Ebby was a recipient of the Horatio Alger Award, which exemplifies those that are committed to others with a loyalty and devotion to American Ideals. Her journey is far from being over though as Ebby ended her birthday celebration saying, “You are my reason for not retiring and my reason for living and for being what I am today. I hope to see you again at my 100th birthday party!”
The Ebby Rose was named and internationally registered as “Ebby” to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Ebby Halliday, REALTORS.
